The Park Street location will re-open on Friday, August 29th!
Since 2010, Scolari’s has been offering a wide selection of “Good Eats”, using foods and ingredients sourced both locally and globally. Scolari’s focus on the tasty rather than the territory and the delectable over the dramatic, enables their kitchen to bring a diverse array of cuisines to your tables without the extended pinky finger.
Local Alameda business proprietor, Dan Nichols, owner of The Lucky 13 Bar, opened Scolari’s with Culinarian and Executive Chef Mike Boyd in 2010. Since it’s opening Scolari’s has developed a loyal and local following that routinely earns 5-star reviews on Yelp. Scolari’s is conveniently located adjacent to the Lucky 13 Bar, where patrons can order their food then head next door for a beer and Scolari’s will deliver your delicious burger right to you.
In 2011, Scolari’s was chosen as “Best New Restaurant (open less than a year)” by the readers of Alameda Magazine for Alameda’s “Best of 2011”.
Then, in 2012, Alameda Magazine’s “Best of 2012” named Scolari’s Good Eats with the “Best Burger”, “Best Non-Burger Burger”, “Best Twist on French Fries”, and “Best Late-Night Munchies”.
Regular specials include not only burgers and fries, but fresh Stromboli, Taylor Ham with fried egg and cheese on brioche, fresh mozzarella salad with red onion, arugula dressed with basil puree and balsamic vinegar, as well as fresh roasted pork shoulder with parmesan and kale. Scolari’s also regularly makes their own house bread, has daily pizza specials by the slice, and additional vegan options.
In 2012, the extension of the restaurant arrived in the form of a vintage 1964 AirStream camper trailer that was converted to a food truck. In August, the AirStream started offering lunch at a Harbor Bay Parkway site and received much enthusiasm from the local businesses as well as locals just walking by.
The Scolari’s AirStream offers the same delicious food from the restaurant on a regular basis, as well as seasonal specials and super specials not offered at the restaurant. It is also available for all types of catering events.
In January 2013, the Scolari’s AirStream it made its 1st appearance at the Alameda Point Antiques Faire. Mike Boyd’s goal is to “Satisfy and fortify the antique shopper with hot and delicious breakfast food (for the early shopper) or hearty and fulfilling lunches for those persevering throughout the afternoon in search of the perfect treasure”.
Scolari’s Good Eats restaurant is located at 1303 Park Street at Encinal in downtown Alameda. Daily menus are posted on Facebook, or call 510-521-2400. The Scolari’s Good Eats AirStream is located at booth #FM22 at Antiques by the Bay every 1st Sunday of the month at Point Alameda.
